Meet Pearl

Pearl is a calm, easygoing 1 and a half year old girl with an old soul. Shes the kind of dog who is perfectly happy hanging out with her people, going for a leisurely walk, and enjoying a good tummy rub. Shes affectionate without being needy and doesnt require constant attention.

Pearl is a low-energy, low-maintenance girl who would love a home where she can relax and simply be part of the family. She enjoys being outside when the weather is nice, but she doesnt need a huge yard or tons of exercise. Shes much more of a lets chill together kind of dog.

While Pearl has not lived with children in her foster home, she has done very well with them when shes been given the chance! She is also wonderful in the car and has enjoyed two long multi-day roadtrips with her foster dad.

She has good house manners and has been able to stay home alone for several hours without being destructive. She doesnt jump on people, beg, dig, or counter surf, and she is generally very well-mannered. She knows several cues including sit, lay, paw, stay, and off, and she responds well to her name.

Pearl is also a great walking buddy. She walks well on a loose leash most of the time, although she may pull a little when something catches her interest or when shes in a new area. Shes very curious and loves taking her time to sniff and investigate her surroundings.

While Pearl is typically a very quiet girl, she can be a bit of a watchdog and may give some alert barks when she hears something unfamiliar or sees someone she doesnt know. She is smart, responsive, and continuing to work on when those barks are necessary.

If you're looking for a sweet, calm companion who is happy to simply be by your side, Pearl may be your girl. She doesnt ask for much — just a safe home, some love, and a human to call her own.
