Meet Mr.Pickles! 💚

Mr. Pickles is a gentle soul with the sweetest heart—you just have to give him the time he needs to show it. While he’s shy and cautious in new situations, every day he becomes a little braver, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to watch his personality slowly blossom.

Once he feels safe, you’ll discover a loving boy who enjoys gentle pets, gives sweet kisses, prances excitedly at mealtime, and has recently discovered the joy of toys—especially tennis balls! He’s also started making friends with his foster sibling and is showing more curiosity about the world around him.

Mr. Pickles is looking for a calm, patient home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. A fenced yard is recommended, as unfamiliar situations can be overwhelming for him and he may be a flight risk until he feels secure. A confident dog companion could be a wonderful role model, but it isn’t required.

Most importantly, his future family needs to understand that the progress he’s made in foster care will likely need to be rebuilt in a new home. He will need lots of time, patience, and understanding as he learns to trust again. There may be weeks of taking things slow, celebrating small victories, and letting him adjust at his own pace—but every little step forward is worth it.
