Meet Birdie! 🐾💕
Birdie is the sweetest girl who is ready to find her forever family. She is mostly laid-back and calm, but she gets adorably excited when she sees her people in the morning or meets someone new. She loves being inside and would be happiest with a family that enjoys having their dog close by.
Birdie enjoys going for walks, exploring trails, playing tug-of-war with her toys, and—one of her absolute favorites—getting lots of head scratches and cuddles. She’ll happily settle at your feet while you give her scratches, and she can practically fall asleep soaking up the attention.
She has done well around other dogs and would enjoy having a dog sibling, although it isn’t a necessity. She has also done well with cats. She has had a positive interaction with a child and was very friendly and excited to see him.
Birdie has good house manners and has done wonderfully in her foster home. She has been able to stay loose in the home rather than being crated and has not been destructive or bothered things that were left within reach. She has also been quiet through the night. That said, every dog can adjust differently when entering a new environment, so her behavior may vary as she settles into her forever home.
Birdie may pull a little when first heading out for a walk because she is excited, but she settles down once she gets going. She is a smart girl who responds well to gentle corrections and is eager to please.
